Last updated: 19 October 2026
1. About us
Sparebuttons is a trading name of STTM Consulting Limited, registered in Ireland under company number 739282, registered office 23 Bourne Avenue, Ashbourne, Co. Meath, Ireland ("we", "us"). VAT number: IE4153706LH. Contact: [email protected].
2. These terms
These terms apply when you use this website or install or buy any Sparebuttons software (each a "Tool"). By using a Tool you agree to them. If you're using a Tool for a company, you confirm you can accept these terms for it.
3. Free versions
Free versions are provided "as is", may have usage limits, and may change over time.
4. Buying a licence
- Pro licences are sold through Polar Software, Inc. ("Polar"), which acts as our reseller and merchant of record. Polar handles checkout, payment, invoices, refunds and applicable VAT or sales tax, and Polar's buyer terms also apply to the purchase. STTM Consulting Limited is the developer and seller of the software and provides the licence and support.
- After purchase your licence key is shown in the Polar order email and in the Polar customer portal.
- Prices are shown at checkout and are one-time payments unless stated otherwise.
- A licence lets one person use the Pro features of the Tool you bought, on their own devices, including updates we release for that Tool. You may not resell, share or publish licence keys.
5. Refunds and your right to cancel
14-day money-back guarantee. If you're not happy, email us within 14 days of purchase for a full refund. If you're a consumer in the EU or UK, you have a legal right to cancel a digital content purchase within 14 days. At checkout you ask us to give you access to the content straight away and acknowledge that you lose that legal right once access begins. Our 14-day refund offer above still applies. Nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights as a consumer.
6. Third-party platforms
Our Tools work with services run by other companies (for example, Loom, Atlassian and Zoom) through their official interfaces. We are independent and not affiliated with or endorsed by them. You must have a valid account with those services and follow their terms. If a platform changes or withdraws its interface, a Tool may stop working. We'll try to fix it promptly, and if we can't, we'll offer a refund to customers who bought in the previous 12 months.
7. Acceptable use
Don't use the Tools to break the law, infringe anyone's rights, access data you aren't allowed to access, or to reverse-engineer, copy or redistribute our software except as the law allows.
8. Ownership
We own the Tools, this website and the Sparebuttons name and logo. You own your content; we never claim rights over it.
9. Warranty and liability
We build the Tools with care, but we don't promise they will be error-free or always available. To the extent the law allows, our total liability to you for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. We aren't liable for indirect or consequential losses, such as lost profits or data, to the extent the law allows. Nothing here limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or any liability that cannot be limited under law, including consumer law.
10. Changes and termination
We may update these terms. The version at the time of your purchase applies to that purchase. We may suspend a licence that is used in breach of these terms.
11. Law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of Ireland, and the Irish courts have jurisdiction. If you are a consumer, you also keep the protection of the mandatory laws of the country where you live and may bring proceedings there.
